Prometheus/Frogs
2013
“I need a good poet. All the living ones are rubbish.”
PROMETHEUS/FROGS was performed on 16-19 October 2013 at the Cambridge Arts Theatre. Performances were at 2.30 and 7.45 daily, and ran for around 2 hours 20 minutes (including an interval). Over 4800 tickets were sold for the plays, and over a thousand people attended our various outreach events. The traditional post-show symposium of academics and theatre practitioners took place on Sunday 20 October. At 1.30pm before each matinée, experts from the Cambridge Classics department gave a talk in the theatre to introduce the plays and an aspect of their ancient context.

Anne Morley-Priestman, What's On StageIf the audience sits for a moment in stunned silence as the curtain falls on Prometheus chained to his rock, it erupts in applause as the frogs belt out their final croaks.
