The production of the BACCHAE took place on 4-8 March 1930 at the New Theatre, Cambridge.

The actors’ text and translation sold to audiences was D.W. Lucas, Euripides: The Bacchae (Cambridge 1930). The music was adapted from Handel by Dennis Arundell and conducted by Boris Ord, Director of Music at King’s College.

Actor James Mason appeared in this production as a member of the Chorus.
